The Lore
Roaring Kitty, Keith Gill aka the GME BULL! In 2019, Keith Gill known online as Roaring Kitty started posting on a subreddit forum called WallStreetBets about a stock he believed was heavily undervalued, GameStop.
He believed this stock was heavily undervalued due to the enormous amount of short pressure from large corporations and institutional investors. The institutions were all betting too heavily on the bankruptcy of GameStop, a beloved video game retailer. When almost everyone thought GameStop was dead, there was one man bullposting from his basement, Roaring Kitty, the original GME BULL.
This precipitated the largest 'David vs Goliath' trade of our lifetime, the 2021 GameStop short squeeze. Together, retail traders, average joes and armchair investors all bought and held GameStop stock. Together they moved the market against billions of dollars in institutional shorts. Hedge funds shorting the stock had to liquidate their holdings and lost billions of dollars, however before the real pain was felt for institutions, the trading platform Robinhood turned off the buy button... while keeping the sell button live. And so in a panic people sold.
In 2026, Robinhood has finally tried to make amends, they have launched their own blockchain, the buy button this time is firmly fixed on, and once again retail may use Robinhood to ape into coins they believe have value. You best believe it.. the GME BULL is back.
One retail trader sees value where Wall Street sees a dying stock.
Before the meme era, before the headlines, Keith Gill started building his GameStop position. The bet was simple but bold: GME was beaten down, heavily doubted, and secretly undervalued. Nobody on Wall Street was paying attention. That was the point.
Roaring Kitty lays out the GME case on YouTube.
He broke down why GameStop's massive short interest made the stock different. What started as a value play started turning into internet lore. The GME BULL had entered the chat.
Volume explodes and the stock starts moving violently.
GME jumped hard as more retail traders discovered the setup. The chart stopped looking normal and the internet started realizing this trade had real power behind it.
The stock closes at $347.51, then touches $483 intraday.
News networks, hedge funds, and everyday traders all watched the same chart in disbelief. Then Robinhood turned off the buy button and the squeeze became permanent internet history.
The GME BULL testifies before Congress. The legend becomes official.
Keith Gill sat in front of lawmakers wearing the red bandana and defended his GME thesis without flinching. One simple phrase became the slogan of retail conviction forever: I like the stock.
The spirit of the squeeze, reborn on-chain.
Keith Gill showed the world what one person with conviction can do against billions in institutional shorts. Now that same energy lives on Robinhood Chain — where the buy button stays on.
